Program Overview
The goal of this program is to provide important clinical and scientific data on the treatment of psoriasis. We will also present critical case studies to further examine the clinical and scientific data presented.

Target
Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists and health care providers involved in the care of patients with psoriasis.

Educational
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to:

  • Distinguish among established and newer treatment modalities for psoriasis, particularly with regard to integrating treatments to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Examine the management of comorbid diseases (e.g., cardiovascular disease), and the impact of current treatment paradigms on the risk for comorbid diseases
  • Describe the roles of current biologic agents in the management of psoriasis, when and how to switch treatments, and how to assess patients for efficacy, tolerability, and safety
  • Describe the roles of newer agents for psoriasis in the context of the contemporary treatment paradigm for this disease
